How much are we willing to pay to feel secure?

Consecutive events, which arouse our fear, are reported daily by media: car accidents, disasters assaults, dangerous virus mutations. We do want to feel secure, but we hear constantly about dangers - we live in society of risk. So, do we fell safe in our house, neighbourhood, town? This chapter is an attempt to answer the question: who do we expect ensuring ussae and quiet life form? Do we agree to limit our liberty in the name of threats combat? What activities are we ready to undertake ourselves?
