History of web design. Analysis of choices made when creating websites over the years

The master's thesis contains an analysis of the existing aesthetic styles of web design, conducted in order to understand whether certain fashions and trends recur and whether conclusions regarding the future evolution of websites can be drawn on their basis. Characteristic features for each design period have been distinguished. On their basis, the periods were divided into those belonging to the Apollonian or Dionysian eras. As part of the analysis, a survey was conducted on the preferences of users regarding the appearance of current websites and their opinions on the future of web design. The results of the analysis and research show significant connections between the past and the future of website creation.

Praca magisterska zawiera analizę dotychczasowych stylów estetycznych projektowania stron internetowych, przeprowadzoną w celu zrozumienia czy pewne mody i trendy powracają oraz czy na ich podstawie można wysnuć wnioski dotyczące przyszłej ewolucji stron WWW. Wyodrębnione zostały charakterystyczne cechy dla każdego okresu projektowania. Na tej podstawie okresy podzielono na przynależne do epok apollińskich lub dionizyjskich. W ramach analizy przeprowadzono ankietę, dotyczącą preferencji użytkowników odnośnie wyglądu obecnych stron internetowych oraz ich opinii na temat przyszłości ich projektowania. Wyniki analizy i badań wskazują na istotne powiązania między przeszłością a przyszłością tworzenia stron internetowych.
