Vortex of metafiction: intertextuality between Fernando Pessoa´s heteronymous project and Afonso Cruz´s “Kokoshka´s Doll”

As obras de Fernando Pessoa inscreveram-se perfeitamente na corrente pós-modernista portuguesa, assistindo em estabelecimento de interesse pela metaficção da grande parte dos escritores portugueses e construindo um laço indissolúvel entre o projeto heteronímico e a literatura contemporânea portuguesa. Afonso Cruz baseou muitas das suas obras nas questões ligadas à ficção, à metaficção, ao papel da arte e da realidade, que interessavam também o famoso poeta modernista. Com este trabalho pretende-se apontar números exemplos de diálogo entre o projeto heteronímico pessoano e o “projeto cruzano”, representado nesta tese pelo romance A Boneca de Kokoshka. Com o apontamento destas relações tenciona-se sobressaltar o impacto que tinha Fernando Pessoa na literatura pós-moderna portuguesa.

Fernando Pessoa's works have inscribed themselves perfectly into the Portuguese postmodernist trend, assisting in establishment of interest in metafiction among many Portuguese writers and building an indissoluble bond between the heteronymous project and contemporary Portuguese literature. Afonso Cruz based many of his works on questions about fiction, metafiction, the role of art and reality, which were also of interest to the famous modernist poet. The purpose of this work is to point out numerous examples of dialogue between the Pessoa´s heteronymous project and the Cruz´s literary project, represented in this thesis by his novel “Kokoshka´s Doll”. By pointing out these relationships, it is intended to highlight the impact that Fernando Pessoa had on Portuguese postmodern literature.

Twórczość Fernanda Pessoi doskonale wpisała się w portugalski nurt postmodernistyczny, przyczyniając się do zainteresowania metafikcją wielu portugalskich pisarzy i budując nierozerwalną więź między projektem heteronimicznym a współczesną literaturą portugalską. Afonso Cruz oparł wiele swoich prac na zagadnieniach związanych z fikcją, metafikcją oraz rolą sztuki i rzeczywistości, które interesowały także słynnego modernistycznego poetę. Praca ta ma na celu wskazanie licznych przykładów dialogu między projektem Pessoi i projektem Cruza, reprezentowanym w niniejszym badaniu przez powieść „Kukła Kokoshki”. Wypunktowanie wyżej wspomnianych relacji ma na celu podkreślenie wpływu, jaki Fernando Pessoa wywarł na portugalską literaturę postmodernistyczną.
