Stand Up For America. Problemy społeczno-polityczne w wystąpieniach amerykańskich komików

This thesis focuses on stand-ups by American comedians. In this paper author presents the definitions and history of the stand-up genre. Subsequently, the problems faced by American society are described. In the research part, the author outlines the profiles of selected comedians: Andrew Schulz, Dave Chappelle, Bill Burr, Wanda Sykes and Iliza Shlesinger. The Thesis concludes with an analysis of the performances of the above-mentioned comedians in terms of the problems described in the theoretical part.

Niniejsza praca dotyczy stand-upów amerykańskich komików. Autor przedstawia w niej definicje oraz historię gatunku jakim jest stand-up. Następnie opisane zostały problemy, z którymi mierzy się amerykańskie społeczeństwo. W części badawczej twórca opisuje sylwetki wybranych komików: Andrew Schulz'a, Dave'a Chappelle'a, Billa Burr'a, Wandy Sykes oraz Ilizy Shlesinger. Praca zakończona jest analizą występów wyżej wymienionych komików pod kątem problemów opisanych w części teoretycznej.
