The experience of the pregnant body in new Polish womens prose

W pracy skupiając się na literackich przedstawieniach ciąży i porodu poddaje analizie doświadczenie ciała i podmiotowości w ciąży w prozie polskiej kobiet po 1989 roku. Utwory analizowane są w dwóch obszarach. Po pierwsze w kwestii granic ciała i jak doświadczenie ciąży rzuca wyzwanie integracji ciała kobiety, czyniąc płynną granice między tym, co wewnętrzne i zewnętrzne. Analizuję jakim językiem posługują się autorki do nazywania tego procesu, a także samego doświadczenia podmiotowości. Drugim obszarem poddanym analizie w pracy są opisywane w polskiej prozie kobiet objawy i symptomy ciąży w perspektywie doświadczenia przez podmiot czasu, przestrzeni i zmysłów. Następnie interesuje mnie zagadnienie autonomii i kontroli instytucji w kontekście porodu oraz sposoby opisów tego granicznego doświadczenia.

In this work, focusing on literary representations of pregnancy and childbirth,I analyze the experience of the body and the subjectivity of pregnancy in Polish women's literature after 1989. The literary works are analyzed in two areas. Firstly, in terms of the boundaries of the body and how the experience of pregnancy challenges the integration of a woman's body, making the boundaries between the inside and the outside fluid. I analyze the language used by the authors to name this process, as well as the experience of subjectivity itself. The second area analyzed in the work are the symptoms and signs of pregnancy described in Polish women's prose in the perspective of the subject's experience of time, space and senses. Next, I am interested in the issue of autonomy and control of institutions in the context of childbirth and the ways of describing this borderline experience.
