Child as the Recipient of Art. Functioning of Educational Departments in Museums in Kraków

The thesis titled Child as the Recipient of Art. Functioning of Educational Departments in Museums in Kraków explores the perception of children in the museum space. The focus is on art education and two important concepts related to this topic are presented. The thesis also provides a brief history of children's museums worldwide and in Poland.The research has a scientific character and employs the method of pedagogical monograph. An overview of educational activities in three museums in Krakow is presented, as the aim of the research was to analyze the offerings directed towards children in selected museums in Krakow. The research was conducted through interviews with museum staff, observation of educational activities, and document analysis. The results indicate a wide range of educational offerings for children.

Praca Dziecko jako odbiorca sztuki. Funkcjonowanie działów edukacyjnych w krakowskich muzeach przedstawia tematykę postrzegania dziecka w przestrzeni muzealnej. Została w niej podjęta tematyka wychowania przez sztukę oraz przedstawiono dwie istotne koncepcje dotyczące tego tematu. Ukazano również krótką historię muzeów dla dzieci na świecie i w Polsce.Praca ma charakter badawczy, zastosowano metodę monografii pedagogicznej. Przedstawiono przegląd działań edukacyjnych w trzech krakowskich placówkach muzealnych, gdyż celem badań była analiza oferty skierowanej do dzieci w wybranych krakowskich placówkach muzealnych. Badania przeprowadzone za pomocą wywiadów z pracownikami instytucji, obserwacji działań edukacyjnych i analizy dokumentów. Wyniki wskazują na szeroką ofertę edukacyjną skierowaną do dzieci.
