Zmiany użytkowania ziemi w gminie Mucharz na przełomie XX i XXI wieku

Since the transition from a centrally-controlled economy to a free market economy, the area of the Polish Carpathians has experienced significant changes in land use. These changes include the abandonment of agricultural land, the progressing forest succession and the development of buildings and technical infrastructure.The aim of this paper is to present the scale and directions of changes in land use in the Mucharz commune, located in the foothills of the Beskid Mały mountains. The source materials used in the research process were orthophotomaps from 1997, 1998 and 2019, data from Database of Topographic Objects on a scale of 1:10,000(BDOT10k), as well as data from polish State Border Register (PRG). Based on this data, the author created maps of land use in the municipality pertaining to the end of the 20th century and 2019. He also calculated the percentages of each form of use in the base fields, which were 400x400m squares superimposed on the map. The results show a significant decrease in the share of agricultural land in the total area of the municipality with an increase in the share of forests, buildings and water. The greatest dynamics of these changes are characterized by the western areas of the commune, i.e. the hills on which forest succession is intensively progressing, as well as the central part of the municipality - the areas of which have been covered by Mucharskie Lake.

Od czasu przejścia z gospodarki centralnie sterowanej do wolnorynkowej, obszar polskich Karpat doświadcza znaczących zmian w użytkowaniu terenu. Obserwuje się porzucanie użytków rolnych, postępującą sukcesję leśną oraz rozwój zabudowy i infrastruktury technicznej. Celem niniejszej pracy jest przedstawienie skali i kierunków zmian użytkowania ziemi w gminie Mucharz, położonej w Beskidzie Małym. Materiałami źródłowymi użytymi w procesie badawczym były ortofotomapy z 1997, 1998 oraz z 2019 roku, dane BDOT10k, a także dane PRG. Na ich podstawie utworzono mapy użytkowania ziemi w gminie tyczące się końca XX wieku i 2019 roku. Wyliczono również procentowe udziały poszczególnych form użytkowania w polach podstawowych jakimi były kwadraty o boku 400x400m nałożone na mapę. Wyniki wskazują na znaczny spadek udziału użytków rolnych w ogóle powierzchni gminy przy jednoczesnym wzroście udziału lasów, zabudowy oraz wód. Największą dynamiką tych zmian cechują się zachodnie obszary gminy, czyli wzniesienia na których intensywnie postępuje sukcesja leśna oraz centralna część gminy, której to tereny pokryło Jezioro Mucharskie.
