Ukraina.onet.pl - content analysis of the largest Polish Internet portal in the Ukrainian language version

This thesis attempts to analyse the content of an online news portal after the date of 24.02.2022, the day of the Russian full-scale invasion of Ukraine. With a thought about Ukrainians, Polish media one by one, started to open new websites, the audiences of which were newcomers from Ukraine. This is a phenomenon unknown in the history of the Polish media. There has also not yet been a thorough research on Ukrainian-language online media in Poland after the 24th of February 2022. My work aims to examine all publications on the Ukrainian-language website of Poland's largest portal Onet.pl in 2022. The aim of this thesis is primarily to answer the main question, "Did the newly created Ukrainian-language website fulfil its purpose and was it responsive to the needs of Ukrainian refugees?"

Niniejsza praca jest próbą analizy zawartości internetowego portalu informacyjnego po przełomowej dacie 24.02.2022, czyli dnia rosyjskiej inwazji na Ukrainę. Z myślą o Ukraińcach polskie media po kolei zaczęły otwierać nowe strony internetowe, odbiorcami których byli nowoprzybyli odbiorcy z Ukrainy. Jest to zjawisko nieznane w historii polskich mediów. Nie było również jeszcze gruntownych badań na temat ukraińskojęzycznych mediów internetowych w Polsce po 24. lutego 2022 r. Moja praca ma na celu zbadanie wszystkich publikacji na ukraińskojęzycznej stronie największego polskiego portalu Onet.pl. w 2022 roku. Celem tej pracy jest przede wszystkim odpowiedź na główne pytanie: „Czy nowopowstała ukraińskojęzyczna strona internetowa spełniła swój cel oraz czy odpowiadała na potrzeby uchodźców z Ukrainy?”
