Social problems in the face of the climate crisis: analysis of the European Unions strategies from the perspective of the city of Krakow.

Niniejsza praca skupia się na analizie problemów społecznych, będących następstwami zmian klimatycznych, w szczególności w mieście Kraków oraz na zbadaniu przyjętej przez miasto strategii, związanej z wymogami stawianymi przez europejski „Zielony Ład”. Celem głównym pracy jest przyjrzenie się podejmowanym działaniom miasta w obszarze polityki klimatycznej. Ponadto tematem pracy jest obecna strategia europejska „Zielony ład”. Ocenie skali zjawiska służy analiza dokumentów europejskich oraz międzynarodowych opracowań.W części badawczej pracy zastosowano metodę jakościową, przeprowadzono wywiady pogłębione z przedstawicielami władz miasta i organizacji działających na rzecz poprawy klimatu i środowiska w Krakowie. Badania zostały poprzedzone analizą działań miasta, dokonaną na podstawie danych zawartych w dokumentach i opracowaniach. Wyniki potwierdziły istotną rolę kształtowania polityk klimatycznych oraz wykazały aspekty, które mogą pozytywnie wpłynąć na sam proces ich kształtowania.

This study focuses on the analysis of social issues resulting from climate change, particularly in the city of Krakow, and examines the city's adopted strategy in relation to the requirements set by the European Green Deal. The main purpose of this research is to scrutinize the actions taken by the city in the realm of climate policy. Moreover, the side topic of this work is the current European Green Deal strategy. The analysis of European and international documents serves to assess the scale of the phenomenon. In the research section of this investigation, a qualitative method was employed, involving in-depth interviews with representatives of city authorities and organizations working towards climate and environmental improvement in Krakow. The research was preceded by an analysis of the city's actions based on data found in documents and studies. The results confirmed the significant role of shaping climate policies and identified aspects that can positively influence the very process of their formulation.
