The issue of pedophilia in the context of David Benatars theory

The paper concerns a critical approach to David Benatar's theory as presented in the article "Two Views of Sexual Ethics: Promiscuity, Pedophilia, and Rape." The author's aim is to shed new light on arguments regarding the morality of pedophilia within a casual view and to propose a new argument related to harm to the perpetrator. The paper includes an analysis and comparison of the question of pedophilia in legal and psychological contexts. This operationalization is then juxtaposed with the concept of pedophilia within David Benatar's ethical theory. The analysis of individual arguments in favor of the morality of pedophilia within a casual view is compared with empirical research findings on pedophilia. Celem autorki jest rzucenie nowego światła na argumenty dotyczące moralności pedofilii na gruncie podejścia hedonistycznego oraz zaproponowanie nowego argumentu związanego z krzywdą sprawcy. Praca zawiera analizę i porównanie rozumienia pojęcia pedofilii na gruncie nauk prawnych i psychologii. Ta operacjonalizacja następnie jest zestawiona z ujęciem pedofilii w kontekście etycznej teorii Davida Benatara.
