Standardy ochrony praw kobiet w systemie Organizacji Narodów Zjednoczonych

Założeniem niniejszej pracy jest zbadanie systemu prawnego i mechanizmów ochrony praw kobiet w systemie ONZ oraz kwestii przemocy wobec kobiet w wymiarze międzynarodowym i w kontekście Polski. Praca przedstawia nowe spojrzenie na kwestię problemu przemocy warunkowanej płcią w Polsce na tle międzynarodowym, a w szczególności w świetle działań Organizacji Narodów Zjednoczonych w tym zakresie. Przedstawione są statystyki dotyczące przemocy wobec kobiet na świecie oraz w Polsce. Ukazane są również wady systemu gromadzenia danych na temat przemocy warunkowanej płcią w Polsce. Praca składa się z wstępu, trzech rozdziałów oraz zakończenia. Pierwszy rozdział dotyczy historycznego rozwoju koncepcji praw kobiet. W tym rozdziale omówiony jest ruch sufrażyzmu, osiągnięcia pierwszej i drugiej fali feminizmu oraz dalsze kontynuacje fal feminizmu, a także rozwój praw kobiet w Polsce. Drugi rozdział pracy dotyczy ochrony praw kobiet w systemie Organizacji Narodów Zjednoczonych i przedstawia: ogólne instrumenty ochrony praw człowieka organizacji z naciskiem na prawa kobiet, światowe konferencje praw człowieka, które przyczyniły się do rozwoju praw kobiet, uregulowania dotyczące praw kobiet w konwencjach ONZ, działalność jednostki UN Women oraz pojęcia związane z przemocą wobec kobiet. Ostatni, trzeci rozdział skupia się na przemocy wobec kobiet i porusza problem ogólnej sytuacji na świecie w tym kontekście, przedstawia regulacje oraz narzędzia Organizacji Narodów Zjednoczonych w kwestii przemocy wobec kobiet a także odnosi się do problemu przemocy wobec kobiet w Polsce.

The aim of this work is to examine the legal system and mechanisms for the protection of women's rights in the UN system and the issue of violence against women internationally and in the context of Poland. The work presents a new perspective on the issue of the problem of gender-based violence in Poland from an international perspective and, in particular, in light of the United Nations' activities in this area. Statistics on violence against women in the world and in Poland are presented. The flaws in the system of collecting data on gender-based violence in Poland are also shown. The work consists an introduction, three chapters and a conclusion. The first chapter deals with the historical development of the concept of women's rights. This chapter discusses the suffragism movement, the achievements of the first and second waves of feminism and further continuations of the waves of feminism, as well as the development of women's rights in Poland. The second chapter of the work deals with the protection of women's rights in the United Nations system and presents: the organization's general human rights instruments with an emphasis on women's rights, the world human rights conferences that have contributed to the development of women's rights, the regulation of women's rights in UN conventions, the activities of the UN Women unit, and concepts related to violence against women. The final, third chapter focuses on violence against women and addresses the general situation in the world in this context, presents the regulations and tools of the United Nations on violence against women and also addresses the problem of violence against women in Poland.
