Cultural and academic elites towards the Russian war in Ukraine : identity, responsibility, resistance

This paper focuses mainly on the analysis of the role of intellectual elites during the on- going Russian war in Ukraine as well as on the examination of the various strategies of resistance and survival of the Ukrainian academia. The Ukrainian cultural and academic elites have been involved in different Ukrainian and international projects concerning nationhood, language, culture and history. This chapter describes the examples of activities and initiatives of the Ukrainian cultural and academic elites established after the 24 February 2022.
