Zwrot ku prostocie : "Grzeszne gołębie" Ludwika Marii Staffa jako manifest antymłodopolski

The article is devoted to the anti-Young Poland turn, the manifestations of which are visible in "Grzeszne gołębie", a novel written by Ludwik Maria Staff. The conducted study is not a complete, exhaustive and comprehensive analysis of all the issues that arise while reading the work. The main intention was rather to select a few issues emerging from the book, and at the same time often raised in the era of fin de siècle. The outlined structure made it possible to read the cited work as a signal heralding a breakthrough in art after the First World War. The writer proposed a radical change in the perception of reality and the individual's place in society, criticizing the main assumptions of symbolism, decadence and Young Poland. Thus, the author of "Grzeszne gołębie" can be seen as a precursor of avant-garde art, whose representatives deliberately rejected the heritage of the previous era.
