Imaginea României în literatura polonă contemporană de consum : studiul de caz: romanul "Zapisane w chmurze" [Înscris în nori], de Beata Majewska

The purpose of this article is to study the representations of Romania in Polish contemporary popular fiction on the example of a romance novel by Beata Majewska, Zapisane w chmurze (2018). I will analyse, inter alia, the literary and cultural strategies that the writer used to engage in a polemical discourse against the stereotypes attributed to Romania in the Polish consciousness. Starting from the assumption that literature has a dynamic and active function and creates new directions in our way of perceiving other cultural spaces, my study will draw on interpretative practices based on cultural geography ("geopoetics") which examines how literary topographies, imaginary geographies and territorial imagologies change our perception of places and space.
