The quality of consolidated financial statements and challenges in sustainable development reporting : conclusions from the XVIII edition of The Best Annual Report competition

The analysis of consolidated financial statements of companies listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange (GPW) has shown a significant improvement in transparency and data presentation following the adoption of the European Single Electronic Format (ESEF). However, a weakness identified in many reports was the inadequate presentation of the impact of the war in Ukraine and inflation on the entity's financial standing.

Analiza skonsolidowanych sprawozdań finansowych spółek notowanych na GPW w Warszawie wykazała znaczącą poprawę przejrzystości i układu danych prezentowanych zgodnie z jednolitym elektronicznym formatem raportowania (ESEF). Słabą stroną wielu raportów okazało się jednak niedostateczne przedstawienie wpływu wojny w Ukrainie oraz inflacji na obraz jednostki.
