Artykuł prezentuje koncepcję oryginalnej strategii morskiej francuskiego admirała Teofila Aube'a (1826-1890), opublikowanej pierwotnie w 1882 roku w periodyku "Revue des Deux Mondes", która często nazywana jest "strategią słabeusza". Idee Aube'a - choć pierwotnie pomyślane jako recepta na przełamanie brytyjskiej dominacji na morzach, na dekady wyznaczyły kierunek rozwoju marynarek wojennych wielu państw. Choć najczęściej są bardzo krytykowane, do dziś stanowią inspirację dla nowych koncepcji strategicznych, a błędnie zinterpretowane - również dla niskobudżetowych programów rozwoju flot.

This article presents the concept of the naval strategy of French Admiral Theophile Aube (1826-1890), which was originally published in 1882 in the periodical "Revue des Deux Mondes". It is often referred as strategy of the weak. Aube’s ideas, though originally envisioned as a recipe for breaking the British dominance of the seas, for decades have set the direction of development of the worldwide navies. Though is often much criticized, idea is the inspiration for the new strategic concept, and misinterpreted - also for low-budget programs for the development of the fleets.
