"Transformart" narrations, that is about the need for presence of heroines : the Balkan case

In contemporary culture, when one speaks about heroes, the choice normally falls on male representatives of those, especially in firmly patriarchalized societies and nations. Where, in this case, are and who are heroines? Attempts to answer this question were undertaken, among others, by women's artistic and activist environments on the territory of the Balkans. It is because this problem seems to be involved in a series of dependences and issues connected with the language-based image of the world, the social dimension of remembrance, and - at last - with patterns of culture. The actions and steps undertaken by them serve the purpose of polemic against culture and social amnesia, as well as get closed within attempts at debunking and deconstrcting certain "myths" which exclude them form the circulation of culture as strong, conscious and independent subjects.

We współczesnej kulturze, gdy zwykle mówi się o bohaterach, to wybór pada na przedstawicieli rodzaju męskiego, zwłaszcza w silnie spatriarchalizowanych społeczeństwach. Gdzie w takim razie są i kim są bohaterki? Próby odpowiedzi na to pytanie podjęły się m. in. kobiece środowiska artystyczne i aktywistyczne na terenie Bałkanów. Problem ten bowiem wydaje się uwikłany w szereg zależności i kwestii związanych z językowym obrazem świata, społecznym wymiarem pamięci, a wreszcie i wzorami kultury. Działania i akcje przez nie podejmowane służą także polemice z kulturową i społeczną amnezją i zamykają się w próbach odkłamania i dekonstrukcji pewnych "mitów", które wykluczają je z obiegu kultury jako silne, świadome i niezależne podmioty.
