Rzecz o wolności słowa : "Harun i Morze Opowieści" Salmana Rushdiego

The paper aims to analyse "Haroun and the Sea of Stories", one of only two novels written by Salman Rushdie for children, as a text on freedom of speech (which, according to Rushdie, is one of the most important values and freedoms vested in every person, and in an artist in particular), disguised in a fairy-tale form, suitable for the writer's son, the first reader of this book, but directed to the reader all over the world. This is particularly important due to the circumstances, in which the text was written.

Artykuł jet próbą lektury jednej z dwóch powieści napisanych przez Salmana Rushdiego dla dzieci, "Harun i Morze Opowieści", jako ubranego w formę baśniową, dostoowaną do syna pisarza (który był pierwszym adresatem utworu), skierowanego do czytelników na całym świecie tekstu dotyczącego wolności słowa - wedle Rushdiego jednej z najważniejszych wartości i wolności przysługujących każdemu człowiekowi, a w szczególności artyście, co jest szczególnie istotne z uwgi na okoliczności, w jakich tekst powstawał.
