Time as a structural element of scientific biography

Czas jest jednym z podstawowych wyznaczników biografii jako tekstu, gdyż istnienie jednostki zawsze umocowane jest w czasie, a ona sama jest bytem poddanym logice upływu czasu. Idąc śladami takich filozofów jak św. Augustyn czy Paul Ricoeur, badam sposoby odzwierciedlania czasu w biografii. Posługując się pojęciem reprezentacji, pokazuję, w jaki sposób można wyrazić czas jako kategorię opisową porządkującą bieg życia ludzkiego. Zjawisko czasu analizuję w odniesieniu do tekstu (i dostępnych poetologicznych środków jego wyrażania), koncepcji biograficznej (w ujęciu modelu interakcyjnego) oraz narracji (która naśladuje upływ czasu i sama podlega rekonstrukcjom i reinterpretacjom w czasie).

Time is one of the main determinants of biography, because the existence of the person is always fixed in time, and she is being subjected to the logic of the passage of time. Following philosophers like St. Augustine and Paul Ricoeur, I explore ways to reflect the time in the biography. Using the concept of representation, I show how time can be expressed as a descriptive category of the course of human life. I analyze the phenomenon of time in different ways of text, the concept of biography (interactive model) and narrative (how it mimics the passage of time and does reconstructions and re-interpretations and it’s interpreted at the same time).
