The values of the European Union and their place in the policy of creating an in ternational order based on values and principles

The values of the European Union are important elements of this organisation’s contact with the international environment. Important political goals of the EU, which fall within the sphere of long-term objectives of its foreign policy, are developing ‘rulesbased multilateralism’ and contributing to the creation of ‘rules and values-based international order’. The aim of this article is to reconstruct and present in a concise and approachable way the place of European values in an international domain, in the EU’s external activity directed at the creation of the title international phenomenon.
