Basing itself on Polish and US archival documentation, this articlepresents Polish espionage under the cover of the Neutral NationsSupervisory Commission (NNSC) established by the ArmisticeAgreement signed in Panmunjom on 27 July 1953. The paperindicates that Polish espionage on South Korean soil hada meaningful impact on the political and military situation on theKorean Peninsula between the summer of 1953 and the late springof 1956. Moreover, it argues that, in the specific political realities, the Polish espionage issue was used by both South Korea and theUnited States to curb NNSC functions.
