Informacja, język i wiedza w ujęciu Karla R. Poppera
Considering information there are three remarks brought by Karl R. Popper concept of three worlds. Objective information should be differentiated both from sensorial data subjective knowledge is built on and from subjective information adopted by the world 2 being integral part of the subject. Objective information creates important part of discrete world 3. Objective information is connected with meaningful element of world 3 - with the world of linguistically formulated human knowledge that is objective knowledge. As such, information is immaterial product of human mind, formulated in objective language and coded in material mediums. Objective information exists independently both from subjective processes of its creation and from subjective processes of its perception. It is an information "with no cognising subject" - to use analogy to objective knowledge - however, on the second hand, potentially it might be (and is) comprehended, understood, interpreted and estimated. The most important part in the process of human kind progress might be ascribed to the information connected with science, defined as a content of scientific theories. Progress of scientific knowledge is equal to gaining information, which reduces human ignorance, enriches objective knowledge with new elements and makes science closer to truth.
