Anthropological turn in social work

Structural sources of contemporary threats to human dignity and thus the direct relationship between a professional and a person who seeks help lead to serious reflection on the social context of direct therapeutic work. Its essence is in sonie way compromised (or even distorted) by the spread of technology relationships, the development of consumerism and standardization of the "good life", which takes place at the expense of stigmatizing those who stand out from the socially accepted pattern. In the absence of a coherent identity or marginalizing the key issues centered around the human capacity for axiological reflection, the authors show the fundamental importance of personalistic perspective. In that context, they take the discussion on core competencies that are necessary to take measures aimed at building the common good.
