Polityczna kultura otwartości w warunkach hiper-pluralizmu : rozważania na podstawie pluralistycznej teorii demokracji Alessandro Ferrary

In the article Alessandro Ferrara's normative theory of democracy and democratic politics in conditions of hyperpluralism is characterized. Presented concept appears to be an interesting "theoretical response" to challenges of contemporary times. Ferrara argues that contemporary democracy, in the face of challenges being implications of hyperpluralism, needs adequate, pluralistic politics, based on "epistemic humility" and the ethos of openness. In this paper all components of Ferrara’s theory are explicated, with particular emphasis on the category of openness, which Italian pluralist considers as a key element of democratic ethos and political behavior.
