On the eve of the Congress of Košice : a document of Queen Elisabeth of 7 September 1374

Artykuł dotyczy niepublikowanego dokumentu, rzucającego światło na przygotowania do zjazdu w Koszycach, na którym król Ludwik wydał ważny przywilej dla szlachty polskiej.

The paper is devoted to an unpublished document of Elisabeth of Poland, dated 7 September 1374. It is important for showing the preparations for the congress of Louis the Hungarian and Polish lords in Košice, at which the famous privilege for the nobility was issued, containing guarantee of succession of the king’s daughters to the Polish throne. The document allows to ascertain some details of the queen’s itinerary and learn more about the preparations for the important congress.
