    This bachelor thesis examines the motive of protest in the novel "Heimatmuseum" by Siegfried Lenz. Different aspects of protest are analyzed, such as its triggers, the development of the protagonists and the symbolic meaning of the events in the novel. In addition, historical, sociological, and literary-historical backgrounds are looked into. The novel addresses the social crises in Masuria - before, during and after the Second World War, especially the expulsion and loss of identity of the East Germans. The work consists of six parts: including an introduction, a main part divided into three chapters, and a final part with reflections and a summary in English. The novel "Heimatmuseum" by Siegfried Lenz is about the loss of homeland of East Germans expelled to the West. The first-person narrator, Zygmunt Rogalla, talks about his life and escape from his hometown Lucknow after the World War II.
    Praca licencjacka bada motyw protestu w powieści "Heimatmuseum" Siegfrieda Lenza. Analizowane są różne aspekty protestu, takie jak jego przyczyny, rozwój bohaterów i symboliczne znaczenie wydarzeń w powieści. Ponadto badane jest tło historyczne, socjologiczne i literacko-historyczne. Powieść dotyczy kryzysów społecznych na Mazurach - przed, w trakcie i po II wojnie światowej, zwłaszcza wypędzenia i utraty tożsamości Niemców Wschodnich. Praca składa się z sześciu części: w tym wstępu, części głównej podzielonej na trzy rozdziały oraz części końcowej z refleksjami i streszczeniem w języku angielskim. Powieść "Heimatmuseum" Siegfrieda Lenza opowiada o utracie ojczyzny przez Niemców Wschodnich, którzy zostali wypędzeni na Zachód. Pierwszoosobowy narrator, Zygmunt Rogalla, opowiada o swoim życiu i ucieczce z rodzinnego Lucknow po II wojnie światowej.
    Die vorliegende Bachelorarbeit untersucht das Motiv des Protests in dem Roman "Heimatmuseum" von Siegfried Lenz. Es werden verschiedene Aspekte des Protestes analysiert, wie seine Auslöser, die Entwicklung der Protagonisten und die symbolische Bedeutung der Ereignisse im Roman. Darüber hinaus werden historische, soziologische und literaturgeschichtliche Hintergründe beleuchtet. Der Roman thematisiert die gesellschaftlichen Krisen in Masuren - vor, während und nach dem Zweiten Weltkrieg, insbesondere die Vertreibung und den Identitätsverlust der Ostdeutschen. Die Arbeit besteht aus sechs Teilen: darunter eine Einleitung, ein Hauptteil in drei Kapiteln unterteilt und ein Schlussteil mit Reflexionen und einer Zusammenfassung auf Englisch. Der Roman "Heimatmuseum" von Siegfried Lenz handelt vom Verlust der Heimat der in den Westen vertriebenen Ostdeutschen. Der Ich-Erzähler, Zygmunt Rogalla, erzählt von seinem Leben und seiner Flucht aus der Heimatstadt Lucknow nach dem Zweiten Weltkrieg.
